Collection Guidelines

Collection occurs between 7am and 5pm. Please have all material to the curb by 6:30am on your day of collection.
Trash and recycle service are provided one time per week for residents within the City of Westfield. Trash and recycle are serviced on the same day but at different times within the day due to the use of separate trucks.
A resident may have a maximum of three (3) 96 gallon carts – either 2 for trash and 1 for recycle or 2 for recycle and 1 for trash.
All material must be placed within the carts or be contained within an overage bag. Overage bags can be purchased at the Department of Public Works or the Westfield Pharmacy on Union Street for $2.00 per bag.
Please make sure all carts are at least three (3) feet away from any other objects (other carts, mailboxes, cars, etc.). The automated arm needs room to service your containers properly.
Each household may dispose of one (1) Christmas tree per year. Christmas trees will be picked up through January 15th.

Bulk items/heavy trash pick up can be arranged with at least 48 hour notice to Ray’s by the homeowner. Fees apply. Please contact Ray’s at Westfield@raystrash.com.

Trash and Recycling will NOT be collected on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving or Christmas Day.
