Collection Guidelines

Collection occurs between 7 AM and 4 PM. Please have all material to the curb by 6 AM on your day of collection.
Trash service is provided one time per week for residents within the City of Franklin. Please make sure all trash waste is bagged and placed in your cart with the lid closed. Extra trash or bags outside the cart will not be collected.
Curbside recycling service is provided for the residents within the City of Franklin. Recycling will be collected every other week. Do NOT bag recyclables. All recycle items should be placed loosely in the recycle cart.
Bulk items/heavy trash will be collected once per month during the first full week of each month. This date will be modified as needed by the City of Franklin Board of Public Works. Each resident is allowed the equivalent of one bulk item per heavy trash pickup day. Heavy items may include large furniture, various appliances (freon must be removed and item tagged properly), or items weighing over 85 pounds. *Electronic waste items are not included.

Trash and Recycling will NOT be collected on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving or Christmas Day.
