My driver always services my account by a certain time. If he is late does that mean he missed me?

We ask that all trash be set out by 6:30am on your day of service. Although many of our drivers are consistent with the timing of their routes, many factors can affect when we service your home. Route changes, weather delays, truck or equipment issues, vacations/sick days which involve different drivers on routes are just a few examples of why we may be early or delayed in servicing your home. If you have not received service by 5pm on your scheduled day of service, please contact our office.

How much are event boxes? Do you deliver them or do I need to pick them up at a Ray’s facility?

Event boxes are available at a cost of $6 each plus tax. We do not provide the liners. If a liner is desired we have found that the large 55 gallon liners work best. The boxes can be easily reused so we recommend unfolding them and storing them until your next event. Event boxes can only be picked up from the following convenient Ray’s locations: 334 Recycle, Ray’s Recycle and Ray’s Indianapolis Recycling.

How much does an extra pickup cost?

Extra service charges vary based on type of waste, geographic area and the timeliness of the request. It is our desire to provide the best service possible for the most reasonable rate.

Why does Ray’s charge a fuel surcharge?

Ray’s bases our fuel surcharge (FSC) on the Department of Energy Index for the Midwest. Ray’s was very slow to implement a FSC when diesel prices rose and managed to avoid a FSC until 2010. The FSC that has been implemented does NOT cover the entire cost of fuel. This small portion only allows Ray’s to continue offering our customers the most competitive pricing possible without compromising service. Ray’s continues to monitor the ever fluctuating fuel prices and adjust as needed.
